New Bills and New Countries!

Recently toady, 5 new bills were passed by Nick, the evil dictator. The Bills, each from a standard duck, was sold to Bob Smith for $75 each. Bob also, with his money from the Resteraunt he owns, "Land of Toxic Delicacies" has bought the newly found island, 20 miles east of America, for $5,000,000. He has added this country to the many countries in the world, and named it "Active Volcano Land", in memory of his road and the island's lovely scenery, including 50sq Mi of Active Volcanoes.
The Island, which is 5sq miles big, is said to be the safest island in the world, with only 742 eruptions a day. The Island, 200 miles into the Atlantic, is home to over 750 species of slugs, and the rare buck-toothed tiger. The HippyPottamus has also been sighted. This animal, the rarest in the world, with only 36 left on this very island, has been taught to say "Peace" and can also make a peace sign. It, along with the parrot, can also copy human's language, but changing the words slightly with their comic minds.
An airport, many towns and a Barbie Factory has been built on the island from Bob's Request. If you require more information, visit www.volcanolandfordummies.blogspot.com, or buy the book at any good book retailer. This book will be available as of New Year 2009.

Sherlock Holmes movie Review

Probably my favorite film of 2009, Sherlock Holmes stars Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law an it is a funny, golden-globe winning action hit that I loved very much. Downey Jr has done a great job and so has the rest of the cast. There are great action scenes, a cool supernatural mystery, and more. A brilliant film.

The Tooth Fairy Movie Review

The Tooth Fairy is a funny movie starring the Rock, Stephen Merchant, Billy Crystal and Julie Andrews. It is about a violent Hockey Player who has been relegated to the lower leagues because of any injury and now is known as "the tooth". He upsets his step-daughter by telling her the tooth fairy doesn't exist, so is sentenced to become a tooth fairy. This film has funny situations and loads of jokes, and is a great family film.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Movie Review

Since I have never read the books, I cannot compare this film to them. My brother says the books are great, and the movie is really good. My friends who have read the books think it sucked. Well I liked it. Percy Jackson probably won't be the next Harry Potter, but i they do make more films, which is possible, I am sure they will be enjoyable. A good cast and loads of action.

Alice In Wonderland(2010) Movie Review

I saw the new "Alice in Wonderland" film yesterday and here is my review.

This film isn't so much a remake of Alice in Wonderland, it's more like a sequel. Alice has already been to Wonderland (or "Underland" as they call it) but she doesn't remember her last trip. The film starts out at an engagement party for Alice (even though she hasn't been engaged yet). Her "Boyfriend", some freakish crazy guy who is hilariously over-the-top weird, is going to propose. She leaves him kneeling and follows a white rabbit with a watch and falls down the hole into Underland. After some debate if she is the "real Alice", she is told that she must slay the Jabberwocky (a Dragon) to allow the white queen (Anne Hathaway)'s followers to rise against the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter)'s army. This film is mildly entertaining, and somewhat fun for kids, but it would have been easier (and better) to follow the original story.
To start, some of the acting is terrible. Johnny Depp's character could have easily been played by any actor, and he didn't bring anything special to the role. The girl who acted Alice, Mia Wasikowska, was wooden and didn't have any emotion. (Comparable to the gypsy girl in Harry Potter, even). And, probably the worst acting I've ever seen, Anne Hathaway. She is insultingly over the top, free of any expression, and boringly unpleasant in this film. The voice-over acting was good, but out-of-sync, and Helena Bonham Carter was cast right. The most entertaining part, probably, was Johnny Depp's F Fudderwupping dance, where everyone laughed a lot. This film is ok, but the acting and effects are dodgy. Anne Hathaway should get a golden Raspberry.

Slumdog Millionaire(2008) Movie Review

I have never seen this so I decided to watch it last night. It won best picture at the Oscars, so i thought, it must be very good. And it is. Danny Boyle's directing is superb and all the actors do a fine job. Here we have a fine representation of a young man from the slums winning a fortune on "Who wants to be a millionaire" in a breathtakingly beautiful, amazingly well-written and extremely well performed action/drama.
The story follows Jamal Malik, a 20-something Indian boy who works as a "chai wallah"- server of tea, at a tv broadcast station in India. He finds a way to get onto the show, who wants to be a millionaire, and gets all the way to 10 million in the first day. He is arrested for suspicion of fraud and through an emotional extravaganza of violence, love, comedy and destiny he describes and depicts the reasons he knows the answers to the questions. You can tell Jamal doesn't really want the money, he just wants to find his lost love, because he knows she is watching. Along the way he loses his mother, is taken in by a man who turns out to be a bad guy, sees his brother become a gangster, and many more fantastic stories. A dazzling movie that definitely deserves the Oscar Gold it won, Slumdog Millionaire is one of the best films of the decade.

Overall Verdict: 9/10

I shall upload a video of the nominees and my chosen winner- good luck to everyone! If you are somebody, subscribe to all these!

The Nominees:

Loopmoploop-
I met loopmoploop at the West Branch Children's Film Festival last year. His videos are very well made and he is a young director with a lot of potential. He specializes on lego videos but does some comedy as well. I hope to see more from loopmoploop in the future.

ScottvideoProduction
Scott is a young director who makes comedy and spoof videos. My favorite video of his is probably the spoof the Pokemon theme song he did. You should check it out.

PanicPagoda-
Popular for his "Drew Pickles" videos, in which he uses the program speakonia, Panic Pagoda is a great video maker and really made me, and my friend elrond501st, laugh a lot. Check out his videos if you like to laugh (they are a bit inappropriate for younguns)

PoweredPanda -
I found out about him in one of basketballplayerty's video game review contest. A great game reviewer and at his best in his review of the NES system, powered panda is a great youtuber.

Organized Remains-
Another I discovered from the review contest, the guys from Organized Remains really put a lot of work into their in-depth game and movie reviews. I especially liked their review of a ps1 dodgeball game.

Epiquenouvelles-
He is a youtube"noob" but his videos do have a lot of potential. Only a few videos have been uploaded, but are interesting.

TheWiiCrazy-
One of my longest youtube friends and a great youtuber, wiicrazy's best video is probably the evolution of video games. Check it out!

 ThePotterSpells-
Winner of the people's choice vote with 40+ votes, the potterspells is an up-and-coming comedy series that has some really great special effects. New videos are coming soon!
